Natural Ways to Get Rid of Water Weight

Carrying around excess water weight can be painful and make you feel fat. Jeans that might be normally snug are impossible to wear with a few extra watery pounds. Gaining water weight is a natural symptom to an internal problem. There's a reason women retain water. Identifying and correcting the problem will help you lose the weight, naturally. You can keep the excess water weight off by being observant about what you eat and drink.

Sodium
Hidden sodium can make your body swell. Sodium is basically salt, and it's included in a lot of the foods we eat and the drinks we enjoy, without our even being aware of it. To get the weight off naturally, you'll need to pay attention to how much sodium you are taking in. It is suggested that you limit your salt intake to no more than 1500 mg a day. You'll have to read labels on all foods and do a bit of counting to adhere to that formula. Read canned foods, frozen foods and processed foods labels. To lose the weight even quicker shoot for only 500 mg a day but only for a day or so. Your body does need some salt to perform properly.

Water
Drinking pure, distilled water can actually help you flush out the toxin-filled water you are carrying around. As strange as it may seem, water could be the solution to your water problem. Don't count sodas, juices or tea as part of the two liters you need to drink every day. Everything you drink has to be processed by the liver. With all that extra sodium and artificial sweeteners in drinks, your liver has a lot of work to do. Give your liver a break and get rid of the water fast by drinking lots of fresh distilled water.

Exercise
One of the best ways to get rid of the extra water weight is to sweat it out. Exercise will help your body excrete the water through your sweat glands and other bodily functions. You don't have to go for an hour-long run or spend the day at the gym. Do some cardiovascular exercises. A good cardio workout will get your blood moving, circulating the water through your body. Before you know it you'll be losing inches and liquid. Keep exercise as part of your daily routine even after the water weight is gone. This will keep those extra pounds away for good.
